A partner and I were tasked with designing a retail space for luxury goods that must include clothing. We were both inspired by the softer, finer luxuries of life which eventually landed on fragrances. With an idea in mind we set out for a name and landed on Aromatic.
We wanted deep mauves mixed with light and airy pinks, peaches, and purples. We accented these colors with hints of teal and soft gold fixtures. Additionally, we opted for light wood flooring and soft, cloud-like lighting to help tie in the dreamlike state of our store Aromatic. The key feature in this space was a fragrance bar where patrons could help create their own personalized fragrance. For this space, we really wanted to lean into the light, airy, and dreaminess of our fixtures and finishes.
